I want to share with you today a new discovery: a salad recipe with creamy blue cheese (I used Grand Blue cheese from delaco_romania ), grilled pears, caramelized walnuts and a mix of chicory leaves, a wonderful mix of textures (crunchy, soft, creamy) and tastes (sweet, sour, salty and even a little bitter). 😍😋
Perfect for lunch or dinner, I fell in love immediately with its distinctive and delicious character.
And those caramelized walnuts are something to die for, I barely stopped myself tasting one and another one and another one 🙈😂.

Here is the recipe for you to try it and love it 🤗❤️.

– 100g walnuts
– 30g sugar
– 1 tbs butter
– 2-3 pears (small or medium size)
– 2tbs honey
– 150g salad mix leaves (I used a mix of chicory leaves)
– 100g Grand Blue cheese delaco_romania
– salt, pepper for seasoning
– 3 tbs olive oil
– 1/2 lime (juice)
– salt, pepper for seasoning

Caramelize the walnuts. Add butter in a pan and when it’s melt, add sugar and walnuts. Stir continuously to coat the walnuts (for about 5-7 minutes). Discard them on a baking paper and let them cool down.
Cut pears in halves then every half in 4 slices – you’ll have some pear wedges.
Heat the honey if it’s not runny and drizzle on every side of the pears. Season with salt and pepper.
Grill pears for several minutes in a grill pan until golden brown.
Cut cheese in cubes. Prepare the dressing: add all the ingredients in a small jar with lid and shake to combine.
The final step: assembling the salad on the plates. Put chicory leaves on the plate, then add alternately caramelized walnuts pieces, pear wedges and cheese cubes. Pour the dressing and serve immediately.
It’s so good 😋😍.
