Saturday pizza with a marvelous topping: mozzarella, caramelized onion and lemon slices 😍😍.
Did you ever tried lemons on pizza? 🍕🍋

Here is the recipe if you want to try it (save it and share with your friends). 💛

Pizza dough:
– 200 g wheat flour
– 5g fresh yeast dissolved in 20 g warm water
– 100 ml cold water
– 1 tsp salt
– 1 tbs olive oil
Pizza topping:

– 3-4 tbs tomato sauce
– 125g fresh mozzarella
– 1 lemon cut in thin slices
– sage leaves for serving
– 4-5 tbs caramelized onions (see how to make it below)

Method:
Prepare the dough. Dissolve the fresh yeast in warm water.
Put all the other dry ingredients in a bowl, then add the dissolved yeast, the olive oil and the cold water. Mix them well to combine and start to knead the dough until it becomes smooth and elastic. Cover and let it raise for about 2 hours.
Prepare caramelized onions: cut 2 medium onions in thin round slices. Add them into a hot pan with some olive oil. Let them roast for 5 minutes, stirring from time to time. Add 1 tsp brown sugar and 2 tbs balsamic vinegar. Let the onion get soft and brown (3-4 minutes). Set aside.
When the dough is ready (it doubled its volume), roll out the dough and put it in a pizza tray.
Preheat the oven at 220°C. Add the topping ingredients, starting with the tomato sauce, then mozzarella, caramelized onions and lemon slices. Put it in the oven and bake for about 15 minutes. Enjoy!😋🍋
