Khloe Kardashian gives first glimpse of baby son born via surrogate

Khloe Kardashian gives fans their first glimpse of her new baby boy in the first episode of season two of The Kardashians. The new series dropped on Disney+ in the UK on

Thursday morning and documents her son’s delivery via surrogate, which took place on July 28 at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. The episode also features the emotional

moment that Khloe was able to hold the newborn for the first time. Khloe admitted to feeling as if she had a “dark cloud looming over me”, as she awaited the birth,

following the revelation that her former partner and son’s dad Tristan Thompson had fathered another child behind her back. Khloe explained that she was encouraged by the

NBA star to go through with an embryo transfer “around Thanksgiving” last year. However, one week later, it was revealed that Thompson was expecting a child with fitness

model Maralee Nichols. She gave birth to a son named Theo in early December. For this reason, Khloe decided to have sister Kim Kardashian present at the birth instead of

Thompson. She also grappled with whether or not she should allow the baby’s father to be at the hospital at all, before eventually giving in. Speaking to the camera

after her son’s birth, the reality TV star explained: “I am so grateful. It’s such a beautiful gift that we’re able to have. “Ever since December there has been this dark

cloud looming over me. Every single day, I’ve been feeling depressed and sad, and now that my son is here, I get to move on, and I get to enjoy.”
